"I found Jordan Scott Gilbert through a posting on Backstage.com and he was highly efficient in getting back to my interest in his vocal, acting, and career coaching lessons! Jordan does it all and holds highly valuable knowledge as to how to be successful in this industry. Our first lesson was a 2 hour session jam packed with information! I learned more about my voice, range, and how to access it successfully in that first meeting than I ever have before! He had me prepare two contrasting songs which I then sang for him. He recorded each time so I could look back after and learn how to grow. I found out I am a Soprano/Alto F3-A5 and he worked with me on exercises how to really target my voice and hit those high notes without pulling back. During the acting portion, Jordan sent some sides to read through before our first meeting. He really helped me understand method acting and authenticity. We went through the process of breaking down lines through emotion, intention, and then portrayal. This was a process I had never done before and it really helped me to correctly identify the character’s intention with each word so I could demonstrate a genuine emotional creation.
